2012 Membership Lottery

The lottery system is an orderly way to select a pool of applicants to be processed into membership over a specific period of time. The lottery is an open, straightforward and fair means of creating a list of potential members. One advantage of the lottery over a traditional waiting list is the ability to weight the draw to meet the club’s strategic membership and demographic goals.

Multnomah Athletic Club’s ninth membership lottery was held January 25, 2012, with a drawing for 543 applications, including 362 families and 181 individuals.  The application period began Sept. 1, 2011, and concluded on Dec. 15, 2011 at 6 p.m. 

Lottery applications are not currently being accepted.

Initiation Fees

Family Membership - $10,200

Individual Membership - $5,100

Diversity Admissions Program

The purpose of the Diversity Admissions Program is to increase the racial diversity of Multnomah Athletic Club membership to better reflect the community in which we live.

Diversity refers to race or ethnicity, as defined below:

• Black or African-American - a person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa;
• Hispanic or Latino - a person having origins in any of the original peoples of Central or South America, or other Latin American countries;
• Asian, Middle Eastern or Pacific Islander - a person having origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Middle East, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent or the Pacific Islands; or
• American Native or Alaskan Native - a person having origins in any of the original peoples of North America.

Nominees must demonstrate a connection within the local community through voluntary or professional activities.

If approved for membership through this avenue, the member pays a full initiation fee and dues.  Members having entered the club through the Diversity Admissions Program are given a six-month grace period before being required to pay their respective initiation fee.  Two- and five-year payment plans are available, should the member decide to not pay the initiation fee balance in full.
