guest policy

Multnomah Athletic Club is a private club that exists for the pleasure, recreation and enjoyment of its members. Guests of members are welcome, subject to guest policies and applicable fees, and must be accompanied by the hosting member while in the clubhouse.

General Guest Rules

Members 18 years of age or older may introduce athletic or social guests. Junior members may not introduce guests.

Guests must be accompanied by the hosting member at all times while in the club, excluding areas of the club segregated by gender, such as locker rooms.

Guests must comply with rules established by the club, including dress code and cell phone use.

Members under suspension or former members expelled from Multnomah Athletic Club may not be introduced as guests.

Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests and all charges and fees resulting from their guests' club use. Members may be disciplined for infraction of guest policies or violations of Club Rules by their guests.

Athletic Guests

Nonmembers who live within 50 aerial miles of the clubhouse may only be sponsored as athletic guests once in any three-month period. This restriction applies to the guest even if sponsored by different members. An athletic guest fee of $14/day is charged for guests older than three years of age using areas considered to be athletic facilities, including locker rooms, pools, courts, studios, Whirlpool, massage, gymnasiums and Family Fridays.

Social Guests

Members may introduce a reasonable number of guests to dine with them in one of the MAC restaurants, enjoy the social areas of the club or join them for social events.

There is no fee for social guests, but the sponsoring member must sign them into the guest register at the entrance. A reasonable number of social guests is approximately eight people. Members wishing to bring in larger parties should contact private dining to arrange for space in one of the private rooms.

Reciprocal Guests

Members of other private clubs with which Multnomah Athletic Club has reciprocal agreements may be issued guest cards, which grant them club use and charging privileges. These members must present a card of introduction from their club.

While visiting, reciprocal guests are governed by Multnomah Athletic Club's rules, and infractions are reported to the guests' club.
