About Joining the Multnomah Athletic Club

With nearly 20,000 resident members, including children, the Multnomah Athletic Club is currently full and not accepting new applications for resident membership.

Resident Memberships

The club does not carry a waiting list, but periodically, will hold a lottery to allow for new membership. All new members must be sponsored by an existing member. The most recent lottery was held in early 2005, and 777 new resident applicants were selected for potential membership from 2005 through 2008.

Non-Resident Memberships

Those who wish to apply for non-resident membership must have their place of business AND residence at least 50 miles from Portland; must maintain both continuously for at least 12 months; can only visit the MAC clubhouse a maximum of 36 times in a year; and must have their membership application sponsored by an existing MAC resident member in good standing.
