Sources of Revenue
The MAC Annual Fund Campaign is a voluntary club membership solicitation of $15 per account, billed annually. Annual receipts average about $90,000, with funds allocated to the general and other endowment funds.
The foundation's signature event, the annual Northwest Basketball Shootout (Oregon high school boys and girls versus Washington high school boys and girls) provides annual revenue of approximately $10,000.
The Maybelle Clark MacDonald Fund has partnered with MAF to support increased scholarships and general endowment projects; it is hoped this will continue.
MAF is also a beneficiary of Portland Marathon; the Oregon Bowl high school all-star football game; monthly memorials provided by MAC members; and planned giving, including income from one of the Tom Wrightson charitable bequests administered by Oregon Community Foundation. Monthly memorial contributions average $400.
The Lorraine Miller Trustee Endowment Fund was created primarily with funds provided by former trustees of MAC.
As the MAC membership and others aligned with MAC become better acquainted with the MAF mission and business, the foundation believes it can benefit from major financial support for its charitable activities.
